  • You posted last year, I think, about having fitted some 265/75/R16 tyres on your Disco and they seemed to have worked fine and fitted inside your arches OK. Do you know, would this also be true for my 2001 TD5 ? I ask because I have a pair of BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tyres and I put one of them onto a front wheel to see if it fitted inside. It did and I could turn the steering from lock to lock but a friend (who may or may not know what he is talking about !) said they would scrape and rub if I went off-road with them. I would only want to use them on a set of steel wheels for serious off-roading otherwise I will be using my alloys with road tyres on. I would like to try to get another pair of the BF Goodrich Mud Terrains, if advised that they would work OK. The alternative is to get four off-road tyres (new, if 2nd hand not available) in a smaller size, my friend saying that 245/75 would be the biggest that would fit.........I would be most grateful for your advice? :)
