Battery help, Repair ?

What a t*t i am, my uncle has said i can have a battery off him for betty. So i have been up to collect it and my cousin has bodged on the terminals. The pos terminal came off fine but i have snapped the neg terminal.
Is it game over or can i bring it back to life.

Ohhh tell me more, I was just going to tap a bolt in it for now, just to keep help turning her over till shes ready for the road (long time away). then buy a new one.

You can drill and tap the remaining post and screw a bolt in, you'd have to be real carefull not to drill too deep.

As said though skiop it int skip.

All fixed guys. Its just charging and ill try it out on monday, but as far as i can see its all reading right on the multi meter.

Easy fix really. Bit off wood just as this as a normal round terminal. Drill a holl the same size, plenty of vasaline. a small thick screw, screwed in to the old bit. all cleaned and then pour in the molten lead.

Nice one, my kind of repair, why spend.
You dont really have to clean up the excess as its the - side so its not gonna short.

As long as it's too big rather than too small it can easily be cured by using a battery terminal cleaner on it.

If i remembers correctly - the neg post is smaller than the poz

Cheers guys, It worked a treat. The terminal was abit big but nothing a file did not sort out.
