bad weather garage

So if weather's bad and don't have a garage. What do you guys use?

Pop up tent or tarp etc. Be good to see ideas as want to set something up

I go back inside and call it a day

Or if its urgent ill just throw a tarp over it and tie wrap it to the fence, gate or what ever else I can.

Also got a pop up gazebo but I tends to want to fly away so don't really bother with it.

Old gore tex jacket and trousers...

i am keen but not so keen as to not wait for it to NOT be bad weather!

i use a pop up gazebo which helps but if windy dont go in for a cuppa or you may just look out to see level with next doors house roof line, it made a hell of a bang when it landed

If the weather's that bad I wont be going out in it, the landy stays outside. I did strip down a series 3 once and resprayed the panels in the bedroom, the mrs wasn't too happy at the time but she got over it.

I found that no matter how tight it was, a tarp rubbed on the paint after a while, it looked like someone has gone over the edges of the wings and front of the bonnet with a brillo pad.

Worse still if you get a frost

Can you build a lean too ?

Make some sort of shelter using what ever I can find.

If i can get away with it i do the work on it, if not i go inside and leave it for another day.

Prices look a bit strong from what they used to be but appn some inspiration?

The dining shelter looks reasonable if a bit basic...

Kerbside repairs for me. I just put on an extra pair of socks and maybe some gloves if it's cold. If it's wet then I just carry on in my jeans and jacket. There is nowhere I can put my landy where it's sheltered when I work on it.

Plastic sheet , bungeed to roof rack n the fence , done , work on bike in garage tho as disco dont fit

if its engine repairs, I can do it on the drive, nose in, gazeebo up, wedged between the house and the caravan, its not too bad, other stuffs a bit harder, the drive is cobble/grass n not good to jack up on, so thats on the road, quiet road, and if its REALLY bad ive had the gazebo up on the path.

if its that bad, it tends to get left till urgent, winter repairs are nessecary things, and general required servicing, roundtuit jobs can wait till better weather.

a mobile landy garage would be an interesting project. canvas fitted to a roofrack with extendable poles to drop down and create a tent for working under.

so, not only do you carry tools with you, but a mobile garage.. too far?

im getting some scaffolding poles and clamps so i can build a frame then tarp over the top

That's downright cruelty.
You've got lights, and a roof to hold them up, and walls to hold that up.
Apart from that it's about the same as mine.
