Evening all.

I've got spare axle sat in the shed that I was given a few years ago as part of a garage clear out. It's from a series. How do I tell if its from a swb or lwb, front or back? Is there a difference?

It's in top condition. Also has diff and complete hubs. Thinking about getting shot of it as I need the space, but not sure what to advertise it as.

Any help appreciated.

Put up a pic!

Front axles will have the chrome ball swivels at each end.

Rear SWB have the diff bolted in from the front, LWB (salisbury) have a backplate that unbolts from the rear.

front will obviously have chrome balls and swivel housings 109 and 88 front look the same brakes vary depending on age 109 rear will be salisbury and 88 rover looks like front without swivels
