It does go off road once in a while. Only last week I parked briefly with one wheel on the kerb.

about as far as ive been with mine this year to ;)

so in the next few days im about to order the following and then in the next few weeks to months will order some more

starting off with
front and rear stub axel kits (all 4 )
a pair or front and rear calipers
front and rear disks and pads
all new wheel bearings all bolts clips washers and swivel bearings
all new extended and braided brake hoses
new HD steering bars and ends.
new handbrake shoes
egr delete and silicone hoses
exhaust decat straight through middle section and new rear
new viscous coupling for fan
britpart wide angle prop and a pair of spare gkn ujs as im expecting not much for the britpart ones
some new/recon injectors
new P/S box and pipes
and finally some wind deflectors as i have no aircon (will understand why later)

then once my wallet has recovered in a few weeks from that and its all fitted
ill get on and order myself a frontrunner slimline 2 roof rack as longer slightly than a hannibal. i also prefer the price and the black colour instead of natural ally. but im not so keen on the width ways slats rather than length. but a small 500 pound saving sacrifice so happy i think.
ill also order the awning sides and roof tent tourer kit and again as i can afford more will buy more such as hi lift mounts and water bladder and water purifier, duel battery system cranked front and rear arms... and lots more

the reason for all of this is me and the woman have decided its about time we went and visited her dad again. so...........

oxford to capetown. 1 year on the road at the moment just me her and the dog. possibly her brother and his woman in there mitsu****ty if they can scrape the funding together

we are looking to go in around 18 months right after getting married, were undecided on a route as of right this second or even how long we take to get there, its a choice of take 2/3 months down to cpt. spend 6 months based in cpt and or joburg and the rest coming back or not have a plan and take each day as it comes. not everyones cup o tea but i like the idea... not sure on the safety side of it though... or drive for 6 months turn around drive home for 6 months

sooo if anyone has anything theyd like to sell me. (use your nugget) im not going to buy second hand callipers, but hi lift mount, or base, split charge systems, cranked arms etc ill happily talk cash with you

if you dont have anything i need feel free to point out mistakes im making anything you think i will or do need or have missed. any tips and all thatwhat gps shall i use?. even better if you have been what do i want to see on my way where shall i avoid i have an idea but i want some other opinions

thanks in advance
rob

Hi,

Nice Disco. Like the mods you have carried out.

Also Loving the citroens.

I have a mate who is crazy about 2CVs.
I can kind of see the attraction being a LR nut!

He has a 2CV Dolly. Out of interest where do you get your parts from?

Do you know of a reliable supplier! He is after some brake drums.

Cheers.

My dad takes em to most shows (not as big as Landy shows but there's more). They have lots of parts. Or there's a place called 2cv city. I think. But we've never used them. To be fair all 3 of the citroens have never needed anything since we've had them

So it's been a busy few days. Changed all fluids. Filters. Front stub axels wheel bearings. Discs pads. Calipers and hoses.

Fitted a new wiring loom in the dash as a few wires had melted. (6yeara ago)

Made a new exhaust to. Again.

How do I put pics up from the new iOS photobuket app?

so heres the pics i took from replacing bit n bobs on the front axel. i did this for both sides and also doing the rear soon

theres also a pic of the dash loom while i was replacing that

for some reason ive managed to upload them all backwards

also made this little panel for coin tray as i broke it pulling it out:D should look altight with a few switches mounted init

Temped to get some of the wires.. I heard there not legal!

If you decapitate a pedestrian with them then they throw the book at you because they are not permitted on the public highway, but as we all know, not everybody knows that and some are even happily passed on SVA's and MOTs and stood at the traffic lights with plod next to them without a word spoken about them being fitted.

Pays your money and takes your chance I suppose, cool look is ok but if something happens

Then :violent:

Not true/
they ARE legal/

but ONLY IF OEM FITTED.

not many were - some G4 specials.

i would say a grey area! why would you want them on for everyday use? if you are greenlaning yeh! stay ahead of plod as you get 1 that knows the rules he will do you for anything!

I bought the QuickClips ones. Just one pin and removed for on road... I'm aware of
Legal implications :)

The center console is
Easy. Behind switches etc I think there's 4/6 screws. Then just lifts out...
