hello every1 not normally on this side as I'm a p38 person but got a td5 that's givin me headake, when u start it from cold it's fine runs and drives perfect but after 5 or 10 miles (basically when at operating temp) it drops a cylinder on number 1, it runs on 4 cylinders now is this a common problem with the td5 ? To me I'd say injector but it's normally the other way round as in ruff when cold and ok when hot but this engine is fine when cold and missing when hot, any help and advice would be greatly appreciated

Would that make it miss fire when it's warm though? I can't see how it works when cold but not when hot, I no ur probrably right but I just can't get it threw my head as a wire is either snapped or it's not and oil is non conductive so it shouldn't short like water in the loom possibly would.

Actually oil in an engine contains suspended carbon and other blow by contaminents from the combustion process. Carbon does conduct electricity.

It runs back along the inside of the loom from the inside of the cam cover. Sure sign that the loom and seals could do with replacing. About 30 quid for a new one.

Dam!! Might of changed the wrong loom!!! I changed the engine loom, what if I sealed the loom in the pic if I can work out how to add it, thinkin of sikaflex in the plug side so it stops oil goin down the plug, would this work??
