Hi Guys,

So after months of trouble with leaking ACE block and pipes I bit the bullet and bought an upgraded block from Design and Development engineering (if you can afford it, it will probably save you a lot of stress).

Anyway, fitted in december and no more leaks, everything has been fine since.

However, recenty, after first start of day, the amber ACE light has started to come on. After a short run, and a restart it disappears - and will stay off until I restart the next day (or after sitting for a few hours).

Does that make any sense to any ACE peeps?

Cheers,

Robb

Hi, as long as you see serious fluid activity in the reservoir at idle you are on the safe side, it can be many things, even a weak contact somewhere, you'll have to read the fault code with hawkeye if you can, nanocom can give false codes for the ACE

An update on this a year later... The amber light ended up staying on continuously and I ignored it, as it didn't seem to affect anything. With MOT looming I was forced to investigate - I don't have a nanocom, so I just checked and cleaned all electrical connections (inc plugs, fuses, relays, grounds to body etc), to no avail. Ended up taking the pressure transducer off an old block I have and switched it - hey presto! A surprisingly straighforward and inexpensive solution (for me at least). Only thing I had to order was a deep 27mm socket to get at the transducer, as it's obstructed by the pipes on block (no room for spanners), and has a plug attached to back of it (a standard socket won’t reach over it).

Also, when I say that it didn't seem to affect anything, I think I was mistaken. Seems to me she feels way better around corners now.
