mmmmm interesting

wish i could find someone breaking a P38 with a good working gas kit on it that i could buy cheaper...

2nd hand can sometimes be a false economy. If you're fitting yourself its not so bad but most installers will charge more for fitting 2nd hand stuff than new and it won't come with any guarantee.

If you can fit it yourself brand new kits are not badly priced and a large price of installation is the labour charge. Some new kits available also include the cost of an inspection which you have to have and also gives you piece of mind that you've fitted it correctly.

P38's prefer sequential systems and fitted correctly you won't notice any difference when running on gas.

For example our Classic is single point and runs approx 20% less MPG on gas and the power loss is slightly detectable, whilst the P38 on sequential is approx 10% down on MPG and you can't really detect any loss of power.

Whilst a S/H is possible - most insurance companies want a Cert and/or registration with the LPG Association (Can't rember their name) I had to pay a premium for my 3.9 Classic on Gas as it didn't have a cert.....whereas my L322 is registered and the Insurance Company and DVLA both recognise this (£10 off Road Tax).

sorry for jumping in guys. :nothingtoadd:.. but with regards to your LPG..is anyone seeing a better return than 18mpg town driving or do i need to take the old girl for a long run,,,? As for the swap id have done the same thing..the RR becomes part of you after a while of nuckle scraping and long lunches with the bank manager.
