For a discovery 2 4.0 Es in silver, black leather, 102,000 miles, on a 53 reg but needed a rear tailgate repair and and some minor paint to wing, good tidy up and titivate inside and out, for my car...

I did think about it for a good while but when the wer parked together i just prefered mine in the end to be honest his was newer like but still was looking alot more tired than mine was...

Plus ive just got it fixed :clap2:

WAS I DAFT NOT TO SWOP OR NOT ????

What put me off and you will **** yourself at what im about to say but its what i thought...

The disco 2 was parked right next to an earlier Disco both in silver the other was also a ES model but a 96 on a N reg, now to me the N reg car looked really old, then i looked at the Disco 2 and seen just the same, i know the p38 is as old but it just dont seem to look its age lik the disco,s did might just be me though..

What you on about man! After everything we have all been through with that rangie I think you have to consult us before making decisions like that! And anyway it would have been a poor choice for which you would have regretted!

Yours is twice as sweet as a d2!

Hey you wont believe this though while i was thinking and comtemplating i did also think i cant let the landyzone lads down and bail out the rangie after all the help they gave me as well... plus i thought mine looked better lol....

Neo do you not realise you have a car that came back from the brink, you are a legend and so is your veh. You may never sell, trade, swap, scrap or otherwise contemplate getting rid of her unless you consult with the whole forum ;) Apart from which, ask yourself this,'why would he want to swap, if he didn't think yours was the better veh? :D

If you plan on keeping long term get it gassed. Takes a long time for the pay back. Lots of people say it makes them more problematic but we run a Classic and P38 on gas and have had no issues in several years and a good few thousand miles.

All I know is when I put 100 litres of gas in it costs me £76.00 when I put 100 litres of petrol in it costs me £135.00. The £75.00 ****es me off, if it was £135.00 I'd be suicidal :)

Don't expect 50% running costs though. You'll use a bit of petrol on cold starts and get less mpg on gas as opposed to petrol.

got mine on gas and cant tell any difference in performance. starts on petrol then switches to gas on its own. when empty, switches back to petrol.

Keep in mind that gas is only cheap because the gov't are holding fuel duty on it at a lower rate, much like they did with derv until they realised they were losing too much money (just like they have with road tax and the cheaper to tax vehicles, they are inventing a new tax to claw that money back).

In the 2 years I've lived in Yorkshire LPG has gone up 25p (ignoring spikes). Petrol has only gone 20p (ignoring spikes). The way things are going it won't be long until the cost difference doesn't cover the servicing costs of running LPG, negating any savings.

Stick to straight petrol, save yourself the headache.
