All you P38 owners in Romford, Essex...

Over the weekend while trundling around Romford in my RR I noticed quite a few 38’s either being driven or parked on drives and roads near where I live. I guess that in a mile or so radius of my home I’ve seen nearly a dozen RR series 2’s.

How many of you guy’s also use this forum?

I like to do much of the maintenance and repair on my 2001 Vogue myself. With enough interest we could help each other. I live just off A12 Gallows Corner.

Hi mate, I'm in Romford too, Rush Green to be precise, got a 1999 4.0 V8, thats currently broke lol due to overheating.. hoping its a leaky inlet manifold...

I work looking over the market, and always see half a dozen or so P38's coming in..

I've just bought an EAS Fault reseting lead/software on ebay, so if anyone ever needs that doing give me a shout

c099895 you also ride a bike as do I. My RR is for the weekend and the big family holiday car however I ride an R1100RS to work every day.

It's MOT time next month and I lost confidence in the station I used last year when they asked while peering into the engine bay if my 4.6 V8 was a diesel. As it has a Janspeed exhaust it sounds nothing like any diesel I've ever heard. So where do you guy’s use for the MOT locally?

My partners dad takes my cars to the place at the Cardrome.. whether they are good or not I dont know.. but mine always seems to come back with good news.

I had the best mobile man out the other day though, he did a sniff test, read/reset loads of fault codes, even got him to whip off the old thermostat got covered in water and he only charged £40. He comes from Southend I think, and if you ever need the faults read or reset you should use him, if your going past his way I'm sure he'd do it for £20. Tune Up Essex - (full engine services, diagonsis and tuning, exhaust emmision testing, fuel injection servicing) I will always use this bloke now.

2 Red ones on my drive. And 1 red one 15 doors away here in Rainham. !

Yup the Cardrome is where i take mine for MOT's. and I use Arrow tyres in the same complex, £65 each tyre!

I'm not far from Romford, Billericay and I use fortune 4x4 for repairs that I cant do, theres an MOT station they use round the corner from them.

Yeah I think my car will be going to Fortune 4x4 as there only 5 minutes from my girlfriends.. need the inlet manifold gasket changing I think (well thats what I'm hoping to find out today)

did you find out the cause of the problem with your inlet manifold?? how much ?? I need my exhaust manifold gasket doing ..

I had a look around the bay and underneath, and its leaking water and dripping down on the box to the rear of the transfer box underneath, cant really tell where its leaking from...heater? inlet gasket? Gonna give Fortune a call tommorow.. they charge £60 an hour labour I think anyway
