I have been in the world of the freelander for 3 weeks now (51 reg 1.8se 5 door, 77000 miles) and although there has been the odd problem, its nice to drive, looks good, and is nice and clean but its worrying I come on here and everyone just slags the car off, with justification I'm sure but surely, surely, surely theres some people out there who have these vehicles and haven't had much bother..........isn't there?

same with any vehicle you only get to hear about the baduns not the gooduns that give there owners no trouble

as Stig sez - there are gooduns out there - just we tend not to hear about them - anyways - if yo motta is running well - why wud yu want to join a forum - unless yu is a sad individual wiv no life?

oops:eek:

I did have one or two probs initially but touch wood its running OK. Surely the idea is to have both good and bad experiences... or is it just a forum like lots of others for people to moan and whinge, if I wanted that I would spend time talking to the missus!!!!

dont get us wrong - we all hope yu got a goodun, just the laws of probabilities dictate that you are more likely to have HGF with a 1.8 than others - and more likely to have VCU failure in a Hippoo than in a RR.

nope we dont all moan and whinge - just some of us - but we do have a larf, a bit of a pith take and (try to) give good advice.

Aye, its all good crack on here but it just seems to someone new to the freebie that nobody seems to have a goodun!! I was just trying desperately to find some hope rather than waiting for impending disaster.

fook! yu bin talkin to Marcus agin?

i fink Minge and Lev have reasonable ones - even Mondeos werent too bad after we went "Mondo mode".

I spose mine were a goodun too - at least it shud have been after spending 6.5K in a year on it:eek:

There's a few of us have cracked up some stella mileages as well, Tiny an me for starters are an 150k plus. Even with all the bits mine's had on it, it's still been reasonablely priced......Mind, its nowt compared to Rutland taxes....:D

Seriously, use this forum to spot symptoms of owt going wrong, also how to fix it for booger all compared to the stealers...thats worth being here for starters..Plus I can't think of anywhere which is guaranteed to make me larf half as much as here....:p

Agreed I've had some great tips and found loads of gud stuff already but some of the banter goes over my head at the minute, for example this ''Pants Down Moment'' Whats that all about? By the sound of how long you guys spend under or bent over your vehicles I would suggest Pants Definately Up!!

as someone who has posted a winge yesterday, I would say it is all doom and gloom DOOOOOM I TELL YER!

perhaps not...you may be lucky...I really hope you are cos we were so excited when we got the turkey 2 years ago and now both hate it with a vengeance.....when I think of what I could have done with the dosh spent it makes me blood BOIL! rather like the coolant just before the HG falls off :)

We loved the car - the seating position et al is great but now we would rather drive a small tomato.

I really do wich you luck Monsieur Dave and that you will not need to come here for anything but praise and affection.
