Hi guys,

long story short, the alarm in my 93 range rover classic LSE is going nuts and I have no idea how to disable it and sleep easily knowing that it won't be waking up my neighbours during the night.

Does anyone know how to make sure the alarm won't go off? Don't really care about being able to start the car, just want it silenced.

Will disconnecting the car's battery disable this or are there fuses I can pull out?!

Cheers In Advance

You could disconnect the sounder unit!

Or is it a Horn Jobby??

If Horn - install a small switch in the horn wiring, don't forget to switch it back on for normal driving - or pull the Horn Fuse (Look on the Fuse Box Cover)

Thanks guys, it's a horn job in mine, but it looks like some tube has fitted a set of air horns at some point in the car's life, not quite sure if this has changed the wiring from the alarm to the horn.

For the minute I've just disconnected the battery. But I think I might remove the alarm/central locking system completely as it all seems a bit ropey...

There wouldn't happen to be a thread on removing the system already or a known online guide? I just don't want to end up immobilising the car as I do it :p

Thanks, Alex :)
