Okay, so got a 1.8, fitted a bonnet scoop, fitted a piper viper induction only to find it wasn't too good.
Basically i couldn't be arsed fitting my airbox etc back in, so i went and got a K&N cone filter, and literally attached it right bang on the end of the engine near where it says injectors in italics. No pipe, no nothin, just a nice big filter on the side of my engine lol.
Was meant to be just a quick job, but i absolutely love it! Sounds like a subaru now, and much more responsive! I'll probably eventually put a pipe in between and locate the filter nearer under my bonnet scoop for cool air.
Just wondering if theres anything wrong with putting the filter on the engine like this? Any ideas? couldn't think of any possible problems, unless i go through a river but i'm not going wading any time soon lol.
