Hi, I am a newbie - just got my first landy (although my parents had a series II when I was a youngster) - so I am now a proud owner of a Defender TD5 which I have wanted for years but have only recently got enough time, money and space to warrant the purchase. Now I have started to do some work on it I have come across my first question and was hoping somebody with experience could help….. it came with a safari snorkel which I decided to remove as I do not intend to do any wading and personally prefer the clean lines of an unembelished landy. Removal has all gone fine, I am going to plug mounting holes and can replace the external intake cover, however - problem: the air hose that connected to the snorkel is now just loose inside the engine bay, my research tells me it should connect to a plastic duct/scoop that connects to the inside of the intake opening and other end to the jubilee clipped hose. I cannot find this item anywhere despite searching the internet, perhaps it has a specific name? - any help would be very gratefully received.
