It does take some hours, more than any repair would take, but its really addictive and enjoyable and satisfying that you do it yourself so well worth it in the end, hope it does inspire some, if i can manage it im sure anyone with a few brain cells can ;) just takes patience and the guts to start! Im not even done yet might be crap! :D

done something like that on my old hippo , made it into a double din to fit a cb radio in , but didn't have to cut any metal out the way

didn't want it bolted on the side and look horrible

will look good mate when it's done, after all it's ur motor and as long as ur pleased with it that's all that matters :D

don't worry he has to have heated seats, it's an age thing ;);)
 
About to hit it with filler primer, had to get it on tonight so it can set and harden enough to paint tomorrow if it all looks good, not ideal spraying conditions with sub zero temps but will have to do, not gonna wait till summer!
