Freelander 2 (LR2) Freelander 2 Stereo replacement (5 inch screen)

Morning, Afternoon, and Evening All,

I'm sure this has been discussed previously but I can't find a post specific to the stereo in my vehicle. From what i could find elsewhere, this might be a quick thread, but I wanted some advice on if this unit can be replaced and if so some suggestions on what with.

It just about does the job however I was looking into replacing it with an Android Auto unit but from what I have found there aren't any compatible units for the 5 inch screen units...

I've added a photo of the unit in my Freelander 2.

It's possible, but there are often side effects, like missing time information on the data busses, or possible the PDC no longer functioning, or even worse, the amplifier no longer working.
Look into any replacement unit with great care before committing.

Thanks, pretty much confirms my thoughts so I settled for a seperate Android Auto Screen to use with the current stereo. Although the fact that the internal dash surface seems to not allow anything to stick to it is causing some issues!
