No pressure :D the reason im looking to give it a go...
A - i cant stand my local fm radio stations most of the time
B - drivings my favourite part of the day, especially with a top playlist
C - the aftermarket stereo currently in there is naff
D - the single din looks outdated and doesnt suit the disco IMO
E - i used to have my tablet in my old car working like the head unit, i could remove it easily, and it had everything i wanted on it
F - i love a good sound system, (even though i listen to country) and have the perfect practical spot for my old sub, i think that a truck like a disco needs a good system, i remember my old man's 2 D3's he owned and loving their satnav and sound system etc. As a kid
G - i think the touchscreen head units look the nuts!

So i'll give it a shot, hope in the future i'll have the reverse camera linked up too, its got plenty of goodies i hope will smarten up the truck, thats about all the tech i'll ever put in it

Should get started tomorrow :)

Have decided to wait until a second hand fascia has arrived so that i can try and fabricate that one rather than driving around with no dash, and if i mess it up, doesnt matter, expected delivery wednesday

Following, I decided against as I might loose the cup holders which are important to me ;-)

I opted for the for a single din with foldy out screen, also android quad core.

I absolutely would not swap back to original ever again.

My cup holders are already broken under the A/C so no sacrifice there! Yeah the flippy dippy ones are nice

Tea holders are a deal breaker for me! LOL

Got the double din for my wife's hippo. I do love them double dins.

I can't wait to see how you get the metal bracket removed and how the end result looks.
I say it will make it look more modern, which I would like a lot!

I had the ICE system in my TD5 with the 6 CD changer under the seat.
I got the company who advertise on the net to fit an aux socket to it, they will either fit the socket to the radio face
or fit a lead that can be fix to the dash. I went for the lead and had the socket situated just beside the lighter socket
on the centre console.
Could plug the phone in, play music from there and also the phone came through the speakers in the motor
and cut the volume of the music whilst the call was in progress.

Jeez chaps go easy ;) ive now gotta wait till that other fascia arrives since ive changed me mind then will start cutting it to pieces, have also bought meself plenty of bits for my dremel, popcorns gonna have to wait, im not feeling the support for my trek into the not very well known! :D
