I have the 2.5 petrol in my 90 and it's been converted t LPG, when I turn LPG on it runs like a shed for a few mins then is fine, also now and then when driving about it spluters and the same when setting off after idling only it's fine when on petrol, any advice or ideas??

When you first switch over to LPG, it still uses the fuel in the carb up. So essentially it's using petrol and gas. It's flooding. (Fuel injection engines don't have that problem, as they cut the fuel off at the injectors, on the fuel line).

If it doesn't run right after that, the mixture is wrong. The only way to set it up correctly is to put it on an exhaust gas analyser.

It depends, most modern systems have a filter in line (costs about £3.00 and takes 5 mins to change), but the old ones aren't that fussed.

From memory, apart from the vapour diaphram going up the shoot (in which case it won't run at all), it generally only needs adjusting. Bit like altering the tickover on a carb. (Didn't need it last week, but does now).

Unfortunately, you have to be able to see what it's doing and that takes an exhaust gas analyser to do it properly. (Move the screw 1/4 turn and it's too much). Arghhhh !!!!!!!!!!!

So would you surgest adding a filter? The system hasn't been used for a long time before I got the landy and the more I seem to use it the better it is, run it all day today and hardly any spluters or anything so will it just need like running back in you recon?

If the system hasn't been used for a while and knowing that landies tend to be a bit bouncy, I think I'd fit a filter just to stop the odd bit of rust getting up the gas line.

It's only a piece of gauze in a brass holder, but it stops most things. To clean it, turn off the gas at the tank, undo the top and gently air line it off. (Granny and eggs, but don't smoke !)
