Hi I am looking to get a reversing camera for our Disco 2 to help with parking but also to help backing onto our horse trailer as its twin axle and a swine to move!

I am also looking to put a camera in the horse trailer so we can keep an eye on the horses whilst towing.

There are loads on ebay, does anyone have any experience, good or bad of any that they can share?

Guys,

You may be able to reverse and get the towball exactly under the drawbar each time - I cant. I am laso looking to have a second camera to monitor the horses, some of these beasts dont like being in a trailer............

i can back as good as most ,having grown up on a farm ,but disco 2 is a lot harder to judge than a disco 1when backing up to a trailer on your own.rear head rests dont help ,let us know how you get on i was only thinking about a camera myself ,but have no experience of them

Surely you just need one camera and two mounts?

You will not need the reversing camera while driving, just relocate it into the horse box.

I imagine that you will be needing a wireless camera, potentially a 12v one so it does not go flat. Therefore you will also need 12v feeds in the horse box and rear window area too.

You can get a wireless camera system, that would be your best option for the box, as for the reversing camera, eBay is your friend....

Mount mirrors on the trailer pointing down so you are able to see the hitch, once coupled remove them till next time, all you need do is make a bracket. Camera inside I'll pass. ;)

bought an £11 hitching mirror for the trailer.......so probably wont bother with the camera. Camera looking at the horses? Horses are pretty stupid, get stressed, get tangled all sorts, the camera would allow us to monitor them on the move......
