Just a quick warning about the total lack of customer service from Adrian Flux.

Although they are sponsoring this site I really feel they should be given a wide berth!!!!!

I started the policy off on a disco and then moved to a range rover and all was well at the start.

They then started making errors all over the place setting payment dates wrong causing me charges etc and the also let me drive round for well over a year with my employment incorrectly entered which is whats called a material fact!!!

When you ask them to do something that should take 2 minutes they have you on hold for 20. I then had to change to a normal estate car and they jacked the premium up by £1k. not happy and found it much cheaper else where went to cancel and they said before you do we will look at the premium and try and get it down for you

This i thought was what they should have been doing at the start!!!!! Funny how they only look at premium when you want to leave, surely the FSA say they should offer the best value policy at the time of a change or a new policy?

I can think of 6 massive errors they have made with this policy and now i have cancelled they want over £220 of commission they want to retain, which in leymans terms means they p***** me off so much and made such a mess of the policy I cancelled and now they want money for it. I thought it was only the bankers that get paid for such a poor job

Now they've sent it to a collection agency, legal action against them me thinks

I've been with them for over a year now, just renewed this years insurance with them, I've never had any issues with them.

Found they were the cheapest and one of the only companies that would insure me ! Lol

there is a few threads on here with reference to customer service or lack of... the rep for AF normally comes on line and asks you to PM him with your insurance details and he looks into it. :D

this is why i went to Admiral, they wouldnt even insure me on 38 with LPG.
plus Admiral were cheaper.

you might have a prob getting your £220 back, they can always say "you signed to say you read & understood the T&C"

The thing that really gets me is that I found out what was wrong with the policy whilst complaining about another issue!!!!!! and the fact they want to retain commission for such a bad job

Number 1 when a company passes your information to a debt collection agency it shows they don't want to go to court.
Debt collectors are CHANCERS AS A THIRD PARTY TO THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT.

If you do not believe me that debt collectors are in fact offering you a separate contract while claiming they have a right to add charges-look at
Bills of exchange act 1882 which can be found on Legislation.gov.uk

Secondly you can inform the Debt collectors of the bill of exchange act 1882 and if they continue harassing you you remind them of the malicious communications act 1988 and the protection of freedoms act 2012-AND YOU WILL SUE THEM.

I have only just started this and it is yet to be listed on google

 what!!!!! £1700!!!!!! For a doozle rangie??

Thers something wrong ther matey

It's not for the diesel but the perceived to be risky 19 year old driver:rolleyes:

All car insurance is a rip off now in the UK, bit like the banks really, especially for young drivers. He could probably get a better quote with a black box driving monitor fitted:)

ahhhh i for some reason thought he was older

im 24 got a 52 4.4 on lpg, 6 years no claims and mines £750
£400 for my disco

tell me about it being a rip off, iv got 3 VW caddy van on a fleet policy and thats £5000
but its got me 24 and 3 employees, 25, 20, and 17 on it
bloody daylight robbery

I'm afraid the only dealing I had with Adrain Flux was not a good one.

I got a quote to renew insurance last year for my P38 2000 4.0 Petrol via a rodent based website. Anyway, AF came out quite good and having been recommended by a good mate and having seen a few on here sing their praises, I rang them to check a couple of details and to accept their quote.

Sadly the guy I dealt with was pretty obnoxious. After confirming some details he gave me a price about £250 more than said rodent. Apparently I had listed my occupation as a management consultant on rodent site and I had now changed this during my telephone conversation with him to a company director. This new info resulted in the increase in premium.

I then informed said chappie that there was no such option to choose as management consultant for my occupation and that I had indeed listed it as a company director. I asked him if it really meant that much difference in premium and was told 'Obviously'.

After a brief curt discussion I was informed that he was right and I was wrong and the new price was the price and it was up to me if I accepted it! I politely declined and went with Admiral.

I have just renewed this year with Admiral (after a phone call and putting them against Elephant and Diamond - all the same company!!!) and got offered Fully Comp with protected no claims for £245 or TPFT with protected no claims for £204.

The only thing with Admiral is that they really try hard to 'upsell' the cover: -breakdown, courtesy car, key loss, etc. They don't like taking 'no' for an answer. I got an extra 20% off the add ons to try and entice me. They failed. And there's a £5.00 charge for a credit card but it stil worked out a lot cheaper.

Hello

I am sorry for the experience you have had whilst being insured through Adrian flux. I would be grateful if you would PM me your reference number so I can look into the poor service you say you have received as every member of our staff should be professional and helpful at all times.

I would also be happy to look into your policy and arrange a call back if you have any queries or questions you would like to put to us. If so, please PM me a contact telephone number.

Kind regards

Dan

Yes all insurance is a con ! No matter the car !

My first car was a 2.0L freelander which was £200 cheaper to insure than a 1.1L corsa !!! Crazy !!
Considering im 20 now, I was well chuffed with that £1700 renewal for this year, more than halved in price from last years £3500 premium !!! :S

I'm happy with that considering a 17 year old friend of mines insurance cost him 4K for a Saxo !! Haha

How do they expect a youngster to be able to afford that ?? No wonder we have so many uninsured drivers on the road !

I've just insured with AF and they were friendly helpful and the cheapest by nearly 300£ in some cases . And I'm covered for off-roading which the others put in as additional payments !
