A Jimney on MT tyres won Class 2 in our trials championship last year.
Is class 2 for toy cars?
I would offer a sensible argument, but I canna be arsed.
Suffice to say - my 65 year old mam wants a JimJimJimny.
Says it all?
I haven't modified it, other than recovery points, and AT tyres. The tyres should be 205/70R15 but are 205/75R15, so not really a 'mod'.
But finally, a decent argument. I just checked, and a defender has bigger wheels, which I guess leads to more ground clearance under the diff, so perhaps a defender does have better 'ruts' ability. This didn't seem to be the case on sunday though. The only place I got stuck, was about 2 ft further down the lane than sticky stuff's '90.

Right, my turn! As I was there for first hand experience of sticky's deepender and the jimny getting stuck. I would firstly love to point out that the the reason you got stuck where you did was because it was the only place you didnt have the opportunity to drive around! Sticky tried just about everything and on the occasion he got STUCK other than when the Jimny did lifechooser drove round rather than through!
Equally when the Jimny did get stuck he got 2 feet further up the track coz of his momentum, which sticky wasn't using; he just rolled in and stopped short.
The passenger side tyres on the Jimny were lifted an inch off the water let alone the ground when it was stuck. Sticky needs to learn to give it a lil more when he thinks he might struggle, especially with those near bold tyres lol. Same contest next time with good condition ATs all round and it WILL be a different story ;-)
See which one of them survives Halstock eh Bucky? lol
Right. I'm declaring myself the victor. Jimnies are gay, can't carry ****, but apart from that are the superior off road machine.
Winnah.
Too right, lol
Funniest quote in this thread: I don't think so!!! Lmao
