a question about Lift, tyres etc...

no, not that question... I already worked out what size tyres etc.

I have a D1 300Tdi Auto on a 2in lift, recently lifted still running on 205/80/16s on steel wheels.

Have had people telling me if i go too big on tyres my gearbox, diff etc will go Nagasaki on me, but they are Jeep and Terrano owners.

Wondering if it's likely, looking at 235/75/16 or 245/75/16 on an AT. I don't do heavy off roading that often.

Would I be likely to experience anything troublesome at those sizes? I did a couple of searches, didn't really find anything conclusive, however a link to relevant thread would help.
 
think you should be ok on that size..33" alters the speedo by abit but doesn't cause any great issues, as above 35 is usually where problems begin ( I have blown a diff on 33s though)
 
Should be fine.

Im surprised any Jeep owner would dare slag anything off for having diff issues with the way Jeeps eat them up.

Standard Auto box. Double Cardan F prop, extreme rear. 4" lift.

Runs absolutely fine. :D
