Freelander 1 A/T Tyres or ?

Hi All
I know this subject has been beaten to death but I never see a difinitive answer..
I have freelander 1 with 235/50/18 tyres which I need to replace
I dont do green laning etc but need something for towing boats about country lanes and farmers fields.
Some say A/T tyres some say winter tyres some say all season tyres....
I notice how close the tyres I have are to the suspension so obviously need to be careful what I get.
I am on a slightly limited budget but want to get it right.
So here I am as I know you here is where I will find the answer

I just updated my 18" Sport wheels with new set of Falken Wildpeak A/T3WA 235/55R18. Have now driven a bit with these and really happy. Low road noise, good comfort with standard pressures and gives me some sidewall protection when going unpaved roads.

Increasing the size to 235/55/r18 gives you a much better range of AT tyres available.

Thanks for reply, this does make sense and seems to give more options.. Will 55 profile fit freelander 1 18" wheels without any alterations..

235/55/r18 will fit without an issue, and actually corrects the speedometer error, as it over reads by about 5% on the factory size 50% tyres.
