Hi All,

Well nearly had the Sport for 2 years now  all going well but got a couple of niggles i wanted to ask about.

1) I have a few very faint scratches at the top of both the drivers and passengers front windows. And some very deep scratches half way up on the passengers rear window.

Now im sure they are from grit trapped in the seals but LR insist its not a known problem, my point is it should be a warrenty repair as the seals are a bad design.

2) When putting the steering wheel on full lock i can hear a slight whinning this happens both forward and reverse. Is this a bearing fault or something else?

Thanks in advance for your help

got some minor scratches on the windows too. just put it down to one of those things and make sure I run a wet rag along the seal with the window down after I've washed it.

Not the only car to suffer from this problem, so LR can get out of it being a bad design and therefore warranty issue.

Believe it or not i work as a design engineer designing film lenses. We make our glass elements in house and can get tons of the polish. Its a pink powder that can be turned into a paste.......... but no matter how hard you try marks you can feel with your nail wont come out..... Fact.

Im going to order a proper polishing kit with different pads and cutting componds to see if nothing else what can come out. Im planning on getting a new window for the worst one.

Cheers

IIRC it's called jewellers rouge. I came across it as an apprentice toolmaker many, many moons ago.
