94 disco slow pull away and up hills?????

Hi Everyone, new to the forum. I have just purchased a Land Rover Disco1 on L plate (94). Had few poblems, head gasket gone which garage replaced but she still slow pull away and even slower up hills (can run faster!!!!). I am thinking now it could be the MAF??? Can anyone offer any help as I am clearly not a mechanic - just wanting a good solid reliable workhorse for horse duties - cheers Kate

What makes yu think it's the MAF, on a 94 Disco?

It doesnt have a MAF sensor, you need to start with the basics as it can sometimes me something simple, check all your hoses for splits, even take them off and check the insides.

Fuel filter change, clean sedimentor and bypass EGR?

I had similar problems, I checked all of these but the problem turned out to be a very slack throttle cable. So its worth checking everything you can
