That's what i said... so i did!

I used to live down the road from you in Congleton!

The speakers have arrived and are installed and sound pretty good, even over the 2.25 purrr!



Here is one I took today when having a clean up!!

Today I got around to putting some new seals on the tail gate,

As you can see the old ones were passed it!









I also decided to paint the defender hinges to match the body -I had previously painted them gloss black





Looks much better I think

Car looks excellent, well done. How dare you post these beautiful images when it is persistenting down with very cold rain here in Ireland . I had to look for ages to see where your registration plate was. I'm sure that a new, much larger one, would make it look a little less like a wrapper of a chocolate bar

DA = Dual Action - ie it spins in a circle and oscillates too - depends on the condition of your paint, they can do wonders in the right hands!

Thanks for that Tim And keep up that wonderful work.

Fair play for taking the plunge and emigrating!! Would love to do the same but I have several reasons to stay that are stronger than the reasons to go ( mostly the mrs doesn't want to!!!!!)
Anyway, the landy definitely looks better with the green hinges!! Keep up the great work - Your landy is amazing and I love seeing the pics!!

Thoughts on wheel spacers??? should i? or nah?

That's a tough call!
I personally like the arches to be slightly more filled but on the other hand it sorta seems wrong on your landy with it being so original and just about perfect!! On the third hand (!!!) it isn't like it's a permanent non reversible mod so you may as well try it and see how you feel.
Not sure if I read / heard that spacers were a no no over there though so may be worth checking the legalities on that first.........
Wolf rims with 235/70 16's on would probably look good if spacers can't be used but if you do that, please paint them the same colour as your wheels now!!!!!!

so it turns our Wheel Spacers in NSW are illegal! larger off set wheels it is then!!

Wolf rims??

Wolf wheels will stick out slightly more. This is my landy on std 6" rims and 7.50 tyres.
And this is with 6.5" wolf rims and 235 85 16 bfg's.
Alternatively, if you go for modular rims, you can get them in zero offset which will put them even further out (but not sure that they would suit your landy)

Ply for the main deck cut and laying out the timber




edge trim selected and cut




Going through cutting each of the deck strips to length




Main floor area laid out once all timbers were cut to length











Ply base for the right side cut out and In place







Laying out the timber for the right side





Still along way to go! ....
