Hi guys
I'm just in the process of trying to rebuild a TDV8 3.6.
I purchased some used heads for my project and after about the third left hand head that I ordered from eBay I finally got one that wasn't warped. But some monkey has chewed the hell out of the valve seats.
To save it I really need to let my machine shop know how deep the valves need to be in the head. I'm pretty sure the measurements will be also the same ones for the 2.7 TDV6.
Anything will be appreciated.
Cheers

Couldn't the other heads be skimmed and used?
Where all the valve seats ruined then? 😳

I purchased the last head from eBay as an Apparently "reconditioned head". Basically the previous guy cut the seats like a tractor with like a massive 45 about 4mm wide

Well maybe the could have been straightened. They were so warped that the Cams rocked back and forward in the Journals. Tighten the cam lobes down and they jam the cams up.
Bent is bent, think the cams bearings are line bored with the cam caps fitted, so once head bent they are scrap.
Be interesting to know what caused them to warp in the first place?
