Hi Guys

Picking up on my thread of January 2014. Gearbox was replaced under warranty and recon unit fitted by specialist but not main dealer. Been back twice since with Trans Fail and each time I've been told valve block failure. She's back for her 3rd (presumably another block) on Monday. Is there something I'm missing or have I just picked a poor repairer? So far all under warranty but the 12,000 mile provided with the original box is getting close to running out.

Symptons each time are slippage (hence transfail), but I've also noticed slow changes.

Hi Saint & Hippo

2003 TD6

Yes Oil Cooler replaced, or at least the invoice says so..........

Cornwall & Devon Transmissions. My nearest. After that I believe it's a hike up to Bristol from Cornwall.

Did they replace with a LR valve block or the much better Sonnex (spelling?) version?? which is really the only 'cure' for the GM5E box.

Have they changed the Torque Converter as this is the chief reason for box failure.??
