300 tdi transfer box mounts

hi all,
it seems that the mount on the left side of the transfer box (passenger side) has been badly shimmed where it touches the box not the chassis.
is this normal?.
is it worth changing them both for new ones?.
rubbers are still soft but i am not really sure how much give they should have.

there not shimmed ,maybe badly fitted as they have a lip that needs to sit oner the edge of mount and holes are slotted to allow for discrepencies
