Hold on... But you've only just rebuilt your 3.5!!!

It's like a drug!

Hope to take a look at the weekend to see what would need doing.

It will just be (another!) side project, so wont be rushing with it.
Plus I need to get a crack on with my suspension build and a few other bits on the vehicle first.

I plan to do similar to what I did with this one but with top hat liners.

IF it's beyond repair I may just use the heads on this one.
But saying that I hear he has 2 4.6's and a 4.0 that are in need of repair!!
The Mrs will actually kill me if i come back with more than 1 engine!

Made a start on the MegaJolt. Got the crank pully off and the trigger wheel on. Also got the VR sensor on.

What do you guys make of the sensor gap?

trigger wheel needs to be against v belt pulley by the look of it. or bracket flipped.

I got a thick washer behind it which needs swapping for a smaller one, so spacing is ok. more interested about the space between the teeth and VR sensor

Oh also viewed the 4.6 today. Think it will need new liners. The other option is the guy also has a 4.0 which works fine.
is there anything other than swapping the 4.6 crank n pistons (?) To the 4.0 block to make it a 4.6?

Trigger wheel needs to be directly inline with the trigger wheel and with a small clearance only like 1mm if that.

Using the 4.6 crank and rods in the 4.0 block will be fine, also use the 4.0 pistons to raise the cr a bit, re trigger wheel I used a bit of the cardboard box the the vr sensor came in folded over gave the correct spacing between vr sensor and trigger wheel
