I don't understand electrics - at all - but the kit says everything needed is included ? Accept it should need a fuse, but to my mind a 'complete kit' should by definition include 'everything'.

100% agree, I would have thought it should be in there, But only raised it as I do not see it in the piccies or written anywhere, Revotec do have one for sale in the website, so hopefully it is part of the kit.

Not sure what amperage would be req'd , but maximum would be the relay rating (30A). Easy enough to work out once you have the fan in your hand.

Hope you have some fairly hefty cable available for the fitting.

Cheers

I can get some if needed....just need to know what

@gstuart - what will I need to get ?

just checked and only got 17amp wire

what do u think @neilly , getting some 30 amp wire , do u think that will be ok, seeing the relay is 30 amp and putting something like a 20 /25 amp fuse in , need to ensure the cable is protected

Hi @gstuart,

If it was mine I would make an educated guess, as it is someone else pride and joy.
I would call the company first thing in the AM and ask them what the kit includes and what cable / fuse they suggest.

Cheers

thks, good idea ,

@Mr S1 are u able to contact the company please and ask them ref the amperage sized wire please and if it's included in the kit

can then ensure we have everything at hand for the weekend

i've got all the terminals and inline fuse wire , so covered in that sense

@neilly @gstuart

I can call Paddocks but I'll be fairly p****d off if it isn't in the kit seeing as they clearly state everything needed is there.

Yep, would be a tad annoying, If it is not, or even for clarification in case you need to purchase something, I would also call revotec themselves and ask what they recommend for the fitting if not in the kit.

Cheers

@gstuart - just bought one via your link, rather have two than not one at all and I don't want to get to Saturday and be without one.

yep agree, as like u , is always better to have one to hand

good call to @neilly for seeing the fuse not in the kit , bit naughty that seeing they sell a complete kit

will also see if they get back to me via email concerning this , will be interesting

also got to work out where to pick up the switch live from,

but nothing we can't work and done to the letter
