Advice please kind sirs !

Went to the outlaws this morning in the Defender to help her dad cut some metal up, so took my air saw and compressor. On the way back this awful screeching noise appeared, which I soon deduced was the fan catching the cowling somewhere. Fan blades undamaged, but rather than have issue I took the air saw to the cowling and cut it off, then drove home.

Do I need to replace it ? I did notice the temperature gauge did go up a bit quicker (presumably where the fan wasn't channeling air directly to the radiator ?)

Thanks in advance for any input :D

you could manage without it,but on a hot day stuck or slow moving it would be better replaced, why was it catching might want looking at

It may have moved a bit, fan itself is fine with the only movement being circular but I didn't have anything with me other than the air saw to sort out !

OK, I'll get another !

oh i see, lol , no probs can easily help u get this all done the weekend

would someone be so kind to tell me what the wiring is please, or does it come with the kit complete

can't remember if it had its own built in thermostat and just needs a pos and neg connections

don't worry @Mr S1 will find a nice little job for u on the D3 :p:D

thks, daft question , if i have to extend any wires what's the amp sized cable i need please

got plenty of terminal connectors , crimps etc and automotive cable, along with heat shrink, soldering iron etc , so should be fine

put in all new antifreeze when we replaced the rad a few weeks back, so can resuse that , also got an antifreeze tester to ensure the mixture is ok
