10w40 oil at good price (imho)

A quick heads up for P38 diesels and maybe others - our local Euro Car Parts shop (Rochester) is selling 20L of Triple QX 10w40 semi-syntheic oil for £28.99 which imho is a pretty good price. I am not sure how widespread within the ECP chain this offer is available as it does not appear on their web site.. but if you have an outlet nearby and have need of oil it might be worth a 'phone call

That is a good price mate. I normally get mine in Costco at £42 for 20ltrs.

Usually get a drum from Smith and Allan butthat sounds rreasonable.

that will work good in petrol cars. The oil is higher speced than petrol engine oil. So if the price is right then buy it and use it in the car

Rover V8s typically suffer from ring blow-by and make their oil dirty - diesel spec oil tends to have more detergents - which is what you need to prevent sludge. In a word (well a few) - go for it!
