Hi everyone,
I know people will be rolling their eyes at yet another freelander window problem thread, but i am after some info. I had the drivers window regulator replaced but the issue i now have is that it doesnt seem to want to start taking the window down when the button is pressed. If you give it a little manual help it will then happily go up and down all day, is there anything i can check or do so the window operates without the need of my helping hand?

Is it a complete new regulator or just the motor and wires? If it's still using the old tracks they may need cleaning and lubricating. I did that on the wife's Freelander when the front windows got a bit sticky and reluctant to go up/down.

Alternatively, take off the door card and loosen the track bolts a little bit and see if it makes a difference. I seem to recall there was some slight play in the positioning of the tracks.

It was a brand new complete unit that was fitted. Will take the door card off and see about lubricating it all.
