Have I ever mentioned just how good these Freelander diesels are? So good, I thought I'd mention it with a thread of its own:D

If you think about it they are the most reliable of all landrovers.
All drivetrains wear out eventually but if you keep an eye on the VCU then you'll be ready for it. Other than that theres no real issues with the diesels.
They are comfortable, easy to drive, economical, versitile, good looking and rust resistant.

Exactly Howardo, I think you've covered everything nicely there. We're the envy of the Landrover world - just look at the green with jealousy snidey comments we get from the non Freelanderers.

Definate

My mate got a 110 and a 90 defender, his son a 90 defender and his pal a 90 defender. Every weekend they take them to pieces on his drive?
Mine falls to bits all by itself without me going anywhere near it!!
Freelanders Love 'EM

Sorry fella but Discos don't count as proper landrovers either, they're closer to the defender than a freelander but still more of a school run wagon.
And how can a guy with an Alfa have a dig at freelanders?
Alfas aren't the most robust of vehicles are they:)
