Mines still off the road.

New boot floors in, just needs painting.

Rock sliders still need seam welding.

N/S inner front wing is done.

O/S inner front wing is, erm, well, not much left of that I'm afriad. Paddocks cant get any replacements, so having to fabricate sections from scratch.

Roof lining and all interior trim removed in preperation for the holes in the roof being welded up.

Rear 3/4 panels still need sika-flexing back onto the monoque, (they were peeling off quite badly).

Front footwells still need plating up.

Basicly, I'd be amazed if I have it back anytime before early September. The firm that is doing it is busy with a lot of servicing and race car set-ups / preps at the moment. Resto jobs like this are a second priority whilst the workshop is so busy.

I will let you chaps know as soon as it is back.

Yoyo,

Count me in for a trip out, my winch challenge beasty needs to get out for some more playtime, plus I'm a top recovery beatch....!

Hehe

Looks like I'll be able to give you plenty of practice then.

I'm usually the idiot who says "that doesn't look too steep / deep / bad. I'll get through / over that no problem. Just how hard / steep / deep / dangerous can it be?"

Ten minutes later...... "Erm, HELP!!!!!!!"

:D

Just for your info, did the peaks today, lots of agro from walkers whilst we were coming down stanedge (nothings changed there then since the one and only other time i drove it 10 years ago), any holes that were at the bottom have now been filled, the ford in bakewell has been fenced off for good and also NO motor vehicle signage.

Was it the first drainage pipe that caused the problem? we had to go on the upper track then drop into the lower one just after the uncovered drainage pipe.

No we passed the uncovered drainage pipe with no major problems and driving the lower track, but about half way up we got stuck on a huge rock step in the lane that we could not pass:(

Where abouts is this lane?Is it far from Belper?Do able in a standars height classic with pants tires?

Just watched that vid the Ka is insane!!
looks a good lane though!Might have to give that a go next week

Although i went up there i was just following and didn't have a map present but i think it's not far from lady bower resiv, i'm sure someone else could explain it better than that ;)

I don't know if you'd have the ground clearance or the grip but that just makes it more of a challenge :) although the underside of me def took a good beating :D

I think i drove this lane about 10 years ago but not sure? I know it's near R Clough, when you climb is it a dead end at the top? or does it continue? Is there an old sign on the top saying something like 'unsuitable for motors' or something like that?
Just curious as to whether it's the one i am thinking of.
Cheers.
