Chopping a car in half with a winch

you could also try sitting on the roof armed with a cordless drill and a few cans of expanding foam. this has the opposite effect when yer drill a small hole and insert yer nozzle. fill vehicle up with expanding foam and the front and back screens pop out. course the side effect of this is that the foam squeezes into every nook and cranny it can find. this makes it difficult if not impossible to clean out.

You don't have to run it into the car unless you sit in the car while winching. I have a 1000 peak amp cut off inside the landy and an anderson connector on the outside so I can isolate my winch it in two ways and two different places in an emergency.

Sounds like the right idea, I have just got a remote for mine and they advise fitting a cutout to prevent interference from other wireless transmitters.

I am not sure if putting cables in the cab as a) thats a lot of amps coming in and b) lot less reaching the winch with the voltage drop.

I'll get one and fit it near the batteries and winch with the bonnet open which is a good idea anyway.

Dave

Yis but on the positive side the thermal insulation qualities of the expanded foam would mean the heater that dunt werk very well wouldn't need to werk very well.
