So I've just whipped the glass out of my front left door, and the regulator seems fine but when the glass us in it won't budge, any ideas?

All appears well ie no dints in thethe door so doubt it's been pronged etc

Just uploading a vid which I'll post..

What controls the power to the windows? Is it direct from the switch it's as tho both don't have enough juice to send them up they roll down fine but up is fine with a little help..

Is the a power regulator or somthing that the switch is working?

undo the glass via the bolts slightly and run it up and down a couple of times then tighten bolts up it may be that the glass has been put in without doing this and it is not running strait.

right had them both out and I think there's a power issue because both work fine and run free when there's no glass , I've lubed them up pretty good cables look really good aswell (I know there's bit you can't see in the sleeves but I can't hear anything snagging or stretching) the left moter gets a it hot but all still runs fine without the glass , the second the glass is popped in they just don't want to know it's as the the glass is just too heavy.

do the windows have a power regulator? what do the switches feed ? -the back window works fine if that helps rule something out.

That also does no extra as the window can stop b4 it makes it to the rubbers so there's no interference from anything.. and the glass has never been out drivers side has been replaced that's all and worked fine for ages

will the freebie be the same as this ISO where is the bcu and how do I test it?, multi meter on the feed to see what volts it getting?

Try putting 12v straight to the motor...this will prove whether it's the motor or you got loose/corroded wiring somewhere.....can you slide the glass up n down in the rubbers easily without it clamped into the brackets?

I had part of the outer strip out off so there was no contact with the rubber at all as soon as I add the weight of the glass it's just not interested, I'd buy some new regulators but I don't want to spend the cash if its something else, but I can't find an answer if there's a control unit for the power and what and where it is..

Originaly it was the F/L you had a problem with, then you took F/R apart and now that is playing up also ???
If F/R was working fine before then it sounds like part of the problem is something you have done.

originally the front left was the major issue and the front right worked but tbh it was slower and I though it was just me, but now over time the drivers is poor also still better but still requires help to seal properly, I remeber when I swapped the console out and extended the switch wires from front to Center armrest the wires popped out the left switch plug, and it took lots help from the peeps on here to help me figure out which was wrong and I'm wondering if I could have cocked something up then?

I think the front left motor is fubard if not close to fubard as it gets way too hot for my liking ( enough to melt the glue on the foam pad) anyway, but I'd like to rule out the body control unit if there is one before I splash £50 on 2 new (cheap ones I know) regulators my cash is tight at the min and I needs me a cam belt also soon..

yes improves a little but not much, altho mine were very good on just the battery when I got her, my battery is a good one with hi cold crank amps aswell and I know it's not that
