Reading all this reminds me my old Citroën 2CV6 back in the 80's last century. In wintertime I had to put an old coat over my knees, same as the horsechariot drivers used to do, and no need for aircon or to open a window for some fresh air as the doors itself gave more than enough draft by the way they moved and tried to fly open at 90 kmph. In accordance with the Defender I could open the roof all the way down till the boothatch, gave me the feeling of a cabrio, no aircon needed again. Was fun in the summer and in the winter (for the excellent road characteristics of the car) but for the rest .........
Oh yes, forgot to mention the gloves in wintertime (other posts above reminded me) I had those leather big heavy furred motorcycle gloves and fortunately there was room enough around the steeringwheel to by able to turn it with no problems, only -point they had was that I couldn't pick my nose while wearing them ......:hysterically_laughi

Distributor ? On the 2CV6 there was no distributor, it was contacts on the flywheel I think? It was only 2 cilinders and aircooled, was some 600CC I think, but that engine was full of goodwill, you could floor it or better you had to floor it all the time in order to have the car moving, in fact there were only two positions on the throttle, either "idle" or "all the way down to the floor".

I voted that I don't give a damn. I drive my Freelander and I like it. It is curious to see and read that Disco drivers and the others who don't drive a Freelander can criticize and give a lot of sh*t in this Freelander Forum about the Freelanders and their owners, but cannot take anything back. If you fellow Land Rover drivers think the Freelander is only for gaypeople. Why you visit this section of the forum? What are you searching for than? But, as mentioned before I don't give a damn

I'm not sure. It's not something I follow. I do sometimes visit london for work trips. Only when they let me out the factory on day trips for commissioning. Would be good to know though, so we can aviod that day due to excess traffic.
