Hey everyone!
I've got two Freelanders... a 1.8 petrol from 2001 and a TD4 from the same year.
I've read various threads on here about the audio amp being located under the passenger seat but I can find no such thing in either car.
I've changed the speakers in the td4 and til about three days ago they were all working fine and perfectly with a cheap USB head unit. Then they stopped working and I swapped them out with an identical head unit but still no joy. I can hear sound coming out of the tweeters but the drivers are silent. I have tested my new speakers with a multimeter and they all work fine.
So... I'm guessing there's an amp that's failed somewhere but for the life of me I have no idea where it is. Even the people in the service department in Jardine in Reading haven't got a clue. They looked in their books and said the posher variants of freelander had a Harmon Kardon amp under the seat and woofer in the boot but beyond that they don't know. Any ideas anyone? Pretty please.
