Yes - rent out the drive during the day and pay wot yu get orf the premium ;).

If you're not a youngster and don't have any daft modifications to the disco just go to one of the interweb insurance comparison sites and stick your details in. I reckon you can save at least 300 notes off that daft quote. Livin in London doesn't help mind.

Utter Bull****.. :rolleyes:

Dear Stuart,

Thank you for your 4x4 off road insurance enquiry. Our scheme is designed for highly modified off road 4x4's and club members Unfortunately we are unable to quote on our current scheme as the vehicle is not highly modified.

Thanks once again for your enquiry.

Adrian Flux - £633:crazy::crazy:

Footman James - Im sorry we cant insure if you go off road, and no my comment about green lanes not being off road but part of the road network didnt help either.

several others what does a snorkel do?

currently waiting for Lancaster to extract the digit...

these buggers dont make it easy to be honest, I could get Tesco for less than £300 if I dont declare mods.......:puke2::frusty:

After Oldskools thread about his son getting done for no insurance due to an undisclaimed mod I thought I'd double check that all my mods don't require listing individually before I renewed with NFU. They wanted £360, I got em down to £320 and the woman said she'd check with the underwriters and then ring me back to today to confirm all was ok. She didn't get back to me.

While I was waiting I rang up adrian flux. Straight in at £300. All mods declared, business use, towing cover, offroad/greenlane cover, New like for like on mods cover. As NFU didn't get back to me and I need to know it's covered I took them up on it. I also paid £14 to cover the keys and assosiated locks of ALL keys on my keyring regardless of what vehicle or building they are for. That covers 9 buildings, 3 vehicles and my pikeywagon.:p
