no maf on a UK spec 300 disco loss of power could be turbo or hose related, i take it you have checked these? could also need the intercooler cleaning out but check the hoses first ;)

i found a uj between the socket an bar and another on the end of the gearbox as it drops down helps get some purchase on the nuts as theres not much room, give it a tap with a big hammer works a treat ;) also ram some blue tak into the uj's to stop them slopping about ;)
