long story short,:

central locking on fob stopped working, alarm stuck on, had to use EKA
snapped the key off the keyfob in process,, managed to fix key back on,
will not sync back tried multiple ways, and now no central lockign at all and triggers alarm eveytime i enter,
used to have to press the central locking on fob before engine would start, therefore my engine was immobilised,
eka process now not regognised, alarm stuck on as soon as unlock with manual key and open door it starts sounding.

managed to get it started by disconnecting the negative however as soon as ignition key is removed it alarms again?

now as soon as i reconnect the battery it says keycode lockout, but it wont recognise the code entry,

have no central locking, no remote central locking, keeps saying windows not set, occasionaly says ignition key in,
really really need to get my range back out

located in nottingham, appreciate any help, if anyone can come out diagnost i can pay some money just dont want dealer charing 140 for nothing,

you could try a gallon of 4* an a match
that would sort out any future problems too
an all the money you'd get from the insurance would get you half way to decent 90 any way :hysterically_laughi

oh sorry i just noticed its ya first post eek!
i know with the disco its the spider sensor that causes similar problems but not sure if the rangie has one

try the search button at the top mate it works wonders and you'll find alsorts from it ;)

ive serched the net and this forum for hours literally, tried every method of resynching / entering generic code. etc. all failed, the central locking module motor things cold be at fault but its a bit wierd they went as soon as key was snapped, just at wits ends with it

Sounds very much as if the BECM has gone into "lockout" mode after too many attempts to get it going. If you EKA was working earlier and wont work now ,after making no attempts to use the code for > 30 minutes, then this may well be the case.
If so the BECM will need to be removed and sent to a specialist(Irishrover or Callrova) to have it unlocked and reset.

just an update, i managed to get the locks working again by playing with them multiple times, then got it started by discconecting the battery and starting with key in position 2/
got out the car and locked it via key ( still no central locking)
got back in and now wont fire up again, it turns over but wont fire up

used to have to press button unlock on remote before it would fire up, am i right in thinking that if the remote central locking would work then the car would fire up?

tried the fuses, tried syncing it back up multiple ways, tried everything! need help :(

You need the "Check Engine" light on when the Ignition is switched on. No light=no start.
Could be out of synch.

Dougdotcom is in Langley Mill, you could try a PM to him as he has Faultmate and the software modules.

it doesnt come on unless you do the "remove battery lead then replace in position 2 " trick.

whats come out of sync? and how to re sync

ive messaged Dougdotcom, awaiting reply,
does anyone else on here have the tools required to re-sync, in and around nottingham? thanks! i can pay
