need to tell someone

iv just got a bargain took my becky back to her mums tonight and was told mick had been round (beckys grandad) with some off road gear he is not going to need anymore, someone crashed into his disco a few years ago and he never got another. so this stuff has just sat in his garage and most of it new.

new 10m kinetic rope
new 3m strap
new 4m strap
new Swing way pulley block 1600lbs
new 3 large shackles 1 used
new 4 medium shackles
fold up shovel
new front and back brake pads
new wheel bearing set
as new CB
large CB aerial
new uj
and some new oils
a wooden box to keep all the recovery gear in

then im told the price £100 and if iv not got it now i can pay in a few week, so i payed £50 today and il sort the other £50 out over the next few week

nice bit of kit there,glad you got a decent break at last.

yes

iv worked it out to be around the £270 mark if i was to buy it all off ebay may be more after postage :doh:

im happy with it all, everything i needed for the 90
and new pads and uj for the disco

...hi stu...disco fine..im just toying with the idea of something more modded for offroad..i would like to mod the disco but not got the money at moment...dont really want to get rid of it was just seeing what interest i got..

did you sell the Mercedes c200 ?
i think you have a nice truck as it is 2" lift bf Goodrich at all round. are they muds ??
find the limit of you truck before you mod it anymore mate

I don't think any of that gear is any good, it's as good as scrap... tell you what, to save you any effort, i'll take it off your hands and dispose of it for you...

...yes merc went for peanuts lol...regarding the mods i was only thinking...steering and diff guards..winch bumper/winch etc and the tyres are all terrains..

if you have a good disco, good engine, gear box and rot free keep it and save up for the mods mate, its not worth changing your disco to get the mods you want
the only essential mods in you list are steering and diff guards then a set of muds (someone might do a swap for your at's if they are good or sell them)
as for a winch bumper/winch do you need it ?? or just want one ???

lol...dont need a winch bumper/ winch..they just seem to be the rage....im pretty sure the engine and box ok..clutch pedal quite high but seems ok, as for rot seems pretty solid apart from inner wings bit rusty, passed last mot with no advisories..so next mot will tell i suppose but not due for 5/6 months yet..and its pretty good nick for its age so will prob keep hold of it thanks for the advice stu..
