sorry not been on for a while but i have a problem!
ok not me but the bro in laws cluch folk has snapped AGAIN!!!
bastid thing, that means i have to get my spanners out again.

ok a bit of history

the disco 300 has had 4 clutch folks in the last 2 years
the first broke the pin original landrover we think?
the second BRITPART punched a hole in the pivot
same with the 3rd, swivel ball was replaced!
and now the top pin has snapped (we think, as box is not off yet)
talking to a guy at the local indy landy garage he says there's a problem with the spigot shaft or the bell housing???
i cant see how any problem could occur with the bell housing :(
or the spigot shaft going out of line as the bearing were nice and tight last time the box was removed.
could this be possible or is it just **** quality parts???
any info would be a great help
box will be out this week end new folk is on order from paddocks.

thanks in advance

Nick

Forget **** part forks , buy a HD one ( not from paddocks as it'll be ****part ) , Make sure that the bearing slides up and down the shaft really easy , also lube up the pivots well too , the whole lot should be a smooth action .

just noticed you bought one already from Paddocks lol .

Ok then when it turns up , get some flat bar and weld it to the other side of the pivot recess - that should stop it punching through on the fork .

thanks for the replies mate
but is there anything that could go out of line to cause the folk to snap a pin off or is it just coz its ****part folks that are being fitting it

just poorly made and crimped where the pins are mounted . just re-enforce it the best you can when it arrives mate

... and it's a foRk ... FORK, fork ... not a folk ...
