Probably a faulty bulb holder - just had exactly the same thing with my rear indicator, and my tail/brake light. New bulb holders purchased and put in and problem gone.

All resolved. Replacement parts working fine. Only downside was that the original indicator holder used a bulb with offset pins, new one needed straight pins. Couple of extra quid later and normal service is resumed.

Quick update. Managed to establish that it was the holders at fault and not earth or sockets by taking nearside holders and plugging into offside sockets. These both worked so this led me to deduce the offside holders being the problem. After cleaning contacts on indicator holder and applying...

Thanks. I kind of understand! I am assuming that the earthing point for the bulb holders is behind the interior boot trim panel on the relevant side? Is this correct?

Bought a Boomerang armrest and going to fit tomorrow. One small question - when I fit it, do I remove the corrugated plastic that has the instructions an fittings stapled to it, and screw directly into the wood underneath or do i leave the plastic there?

Ok, so it may not be called an under-tray, but I mean the silver part underneath he bumper, held on with 2 bolts.
