Quick question about power fold mirrors

Thanks for the link Grayo, I'll keep that handy just in case.

Quick question about power fold mirrors

I guess I'll just put it down as being another one of the Freelanders gremlins, of which there seems to be lots!

Quick question about power fold mirrors

Mirrors are now back in the correct position, after using the switch which started working again. Went to fold them in today and again they are not working correctly. After several attempts the mirrors folded in and back out again but is very intermittent. When i flick the switch the relay...

Quick question about power fold mirrors

My power fold mirrors have both stopped working. They are currently folded in. My question is: can I manually fold them back out into position or will this cause any internal damage? Thought it better to ask before attempting! Keen to have the mirrors useable whilst I investigate why they have...

    Indicator Fault

Probably a faulty bulb holder - just had exactly the same thing with my rear indicator, and my tail/brake light. New bulb holders purchased and put in and problem gone.

Brake light gone now indicator stopped working.

All resolved. Replacement parts working fine. Only downside was that the original indicator holder used a bulb with offset pins, new one needed straight pins. Couple of extra quid later and normal service is resumed.

Brake light gone now indicator stopped working.

Quick update. Managed to establish that it was the holders at fault and not earth or sockets by taking nearside holders and plugging into offside sockets. These both worked so this led me to deduce the offside holders being the problem. After cleaning contacts on indicator holder and applying...

Brake light gone now indicator stopped working.

Thanks. I kind of understand! I am assuming that the earthing point for the bulb holders is behind the interior boot trim panel on the relevant side? Is this correct?

Brake light gone now indicator stopped working.

Sorry, not very tech minded. Could you elaborate? Where/how do I find the earthing point?

Brake light gone now indicator stopped working.

After being informed that my offside brake light didn't work I checked it and replaced bulb. Still didn't work so have checked connections. These are a bit green so have sprayed wd40 and cleaned. Still not working but neither is the indicator in the same light unit now. Indicator was working...

    Dropping Revs splutter at 3000rpms

Highly recommend BG244. My car was always a little 'apprehensive' when pulling away which made roundabouts and junctions interesting to say the least. I am halfway through a treated tank and the difference is very noticeable. Car pulls away with ease now, no hesitation at all at roundabouts...

    Newbie with parking sensor fault

With the engine off, but ignition on, put the car in reverse then go and put your ear next to each sensor in turn. If they are working you will hear a clicking noise, if you don't hear it then that sensor is faulty. One duff sensor stops the whole system working. I know this because it is a...

    Sticky knobs!

Would like to see a pic of them fitted if you do get them.

    Sticky knobs!

My heater control knobs on my '55 plate have gone all sticky to touch. It also appears that the rubbery coating is coming off in places. Anyone know the best way of cleaning these up? Or if there are any good replacements? LR ones cost anyway between £12-15 which is v. expensive for what they...

    Quick question about armrest

Bought a Boomerang armrest and going to fit tomorrow. One small question - when I fit it, do I remove the corrugated plastic that has the instructions an fittings stapled to it, and screw directly into the wood underneath or do i leave the plastic there?

    Replace reversing sensor

Ok, so it may not be called an under-tray, but I mean the silver part underneath he bumper, held on with 2 bolts.

    Replace reversing sensor

I can't get to it with the under-tray in place - would removing it allow me more access?

    Replace reversing sensor

I need to replace one of the middle reversing sensors. Is it possible to replace this without removing the rear bumper? If I lay underneath I can see the affected sensor, but cannot get in there to replace. If I remove the silver under-tray, would this allow me better access? I thought I'd ask...
