Well thats a new approach cutting off the terminal blocks and rejoining them through another connector, is it only me that can see the problems that could cause, there is a fault there as otherwise the light would not be on maybe your electrian cant retreive the faults that he needed to also...

hi once the freelander has an srs fault it will stay in the system and normally they dont clear without testbook, on saying that if no faults are listed next port of call to check is battery, has it gone flat lately enough to cut power to the srs dcu, you need to check amps on battery not...

do you get the noise on full lock try just rocking the steering while on full lock as some td5 did not have the chassis leg/steering box gusset welded on both sides causing a knocking/cracking metal sound.

hi read your post again what year is the freelander? dont think any freelander came with a handsfree kit fitted as standard only new ones, best place to look is passenger side area under dash area or near front of centre consul follow the rest of wires from craddle should find a black box with...

does the multifunction unit have much 2 do with the wipers as im sure it controls the speed wipe not sure about park its the black box on fuse box,i know of a new 1 for sale if you need 1 cheers tig

check its still got the aerial in the window and its not been cut off or disconected cheers tig

A new ipk is about £300 but i would live with the missing digits as what was said only about 20 mins 2 change including time on test book save your money spend it on beer, or a new front diff ! cheers tig

service light is worked out by the ecm using fuel calcs and speed and crap like that normally though service due at about 13500, will tell you on the dash ignition pos 1 left hand side will show miles till next service and what service above it,tig

its worth a go like putting some sort of heat reflector and also something to keep it warm like an electric blanket as long as the signal goes through the window should be ok, maybe the electric blanket is a bit silly thou!

well that rules out the receiver then as it should not work at all outside or in if you are trying to unlock outside and you cant and then use the key to open door and then silence the alarm so it proves that works ok but after that only wiring unless the recevier does not like the heat/cold...

hi if its a disco 2 it wont have a 10 as system all done by the[ bcm] body control module,black box nearside behind glove box.

it could be the rotary coupling under steering wheel, ecm picking up high resistance when you turn ignition off the problem is reset by the ecm, if you have cruise on in straight line try turning a corner to get the steering wheel to move and see if it turns off do all other steering wheel...

hi do you mean centre box or cat? as im also interested if the centre box has been removed.
