Buying MOD landrover defender, yes or no?

MOD vehicles are well looked after mechanically but thats about it, they arent used for show ;) 3-4 k should give you a nice area to look at especialy 90 wise. was looking at a 2004 ex utillity 110 last night for around that.

A simple, cheap mod that i would strongly recommend!

fnd that lead flasher tape is good for noise and foam matting / rubber is good for insulation, add the two together and its great!!

SOS must get hay through flood stratford on avon

5ft of water ive had our Atlantic 75 in less and our Trent class offshore lifeboat in 6ft of water!!!!!!! Far too deep for a wagon on an open course ( unlike a pay and play site) about 18 inch of water can and will knock some one off their feet let alone on uneven ever changing ground, thats...

    The proper way to waterproof

NEVER run vents in the wagon. Even thou you are 10' from the source I would not be surprised if you get the odd bit of oil mist coming out of the vents. What style snorkel you got ??

Intake and breathers aside - what is the rest of the landy like in water..??

If its like mine then NOPE and you have a breather. I would say a latex clove over it T-wrapped to the neck would probably be possible to seal the filler neck. Front Axel, Rear Axel, Engine timing case, Engine, Gearbox, Transfer box not 100% Fuel Tank All have breathers of one form...

    Mot Advisory

There is a garage the MRs took our old golf to when I was offshore, She waited and watched him almost hammer a screw driver through the sills and failed it on a few bits, I came home had a look and the sill was almost 100% solid, went back to them to get the free retest, Bloke commented on the...

A must have item for every defender...

They will fit every stick you can find, unfortulantly they normally fall off after a month unless you glue them on, you normally get several plastic cups that fit the ID of the knob and various ODs of the sticks then there is a grub screw which holds in in place.

    Removable Tow hitch Build

There is loads of Type approved ones for post 98 cars, If you look at lots of modern cars they have the box mount and just need the pin for it, Just dont think they have them on the open market, Wasnt too sure how the NEW Mot and the newish EU laws were about it.

If you go in and tell them your in the trade of restoring cars you can get a trade card ;) I find that if I use a 2" dog leg brush its great as it can get in loads of places and you dont get as covered.
