Silly as it seems this is exactly what happened!!! I got roped into collecting an engine for my son's best mates MK1 caddy. Travelled up to Bristol and collected, my son strapped the engine, complete with stand that it was bolted onto, down and we wiggled and wiggled. All seemed secure! First right turn, the engine stand fell over and caught the side sliding window of Tilly (1987 - 90). One pane of glass has shattered and I have got two very meek young men on my hands. The guys are keen to replace the glass tomorrow. We have a breakers locally where we can get spares but I can't find any posts on how to replace the glass. Is is possible or do you have to replace the whole window. I have included a photo in case my windows are different in some way.

Thanks Guys.

have a look at this m8;

Side Window - Sliding ??? LandRover Defender 1987-2006, Body & Chassis

since the glass has its own part number, id say it can be raplaced without having to buy the whole item (item1) ?

item6 the 'outer' looks like it keeps the glass in that frame (as well as looking pretty) -i bet if you drill those rivets out and took the finisher off (with a helper to catch the other payne) you could pop a replacement in + re-rivet?
