reading all this I would say its an electronic fault... I.e. the brain giving or recieving duff info... I'm no expert of the EAS system but is there an ECU that controls it? Like a PC can it be rebooted i.e. cut its power and then reboot so it re learns its sensors etc..Maybe discon battery and...

Thanks Spencer,, spot on.. The engine has started fine the last 2 mornings. I give the throttle a tiny bit and it starts fine and revs to 1100 rpm,, takes 15 secs to clear and ready to drive..cheers

Anyway an update for this morning. After yesterdays flying up and down the A1M the engine started 1st turn this morning, BUT, wouldnt idle if i removed my foot off the pedal.. Thanks for the Diag.... I have been told the cable from the pressure sensor (18" long) goes to a plastic box on the engine. Its this (if there is one) I need to locate..Just need a second opinion on this one........Thanks again.....

Does or has anyone changed the harness that feeds the pressure sensor fitted on the common rail? What i want is an idea of where the end connection fits (not the plug end that fits to the sensor). I've been told theres a plastic connector box fitted on the engine,, but where? thanks in advance..
